The Best 12 Cologne for Older Man: for 40, 50 and 60 Year Old Man

Hi there! If you’re reading this article, you’d probably want to know about the best cologne for older man; moreover, I suppose you’re not satisfied with the similar boring articles, where you’ve found boring recommendations about the equally boring scents. So what’s your way then?

I created a list of the best colognes for older man, regardless of age. Let’s be honest: whatever others may say… There are NO difference between the best fragrance for 45 y.o. man and 52 y.o. man. Any difference, literally. That’s why before we go through, I should state the “most and foremost” rule: every man, as well as woman, can use ANY fragrance they want. Just throw your biases out of your mind – you don’t looking for the best running shorts, or the best wallets, or the best PC mouses, or whatever… for the 40 or 50 y.o. man or woman, aren’t you?

But here, I should also note that some fragrance and colognes looks pretty weird on the younger people… That’s why I decided to create a list of the best cologne for older man, regardless the age. So…

Bogart by Jacques Bogart (1975) – the Best Retro Perfume

How can you be assure of the quality and untainted perfection of some things? As for me, one of the most important flags is an age. For instance, Rolls-Royce company established in 1904. Glenfiddich distillery founded in 1886. Veuve Clicquot founded in 1772. What’s a common between these brands? All of them are well-known and time-honoured. So in the same way I can say about the Bogart by Jacques Bogart. This cologne staying on the market since 1975, and that is saying something. So… Just take a look:

Tom Ford Ombre Leather – Leather You’ll Fall in Love With

As for me, this is one of the underrated perfumes for older man. IMO, one of the best notes for men 30+ years old is leather. Intense, sexy and memorable. This is not for someone in Rip’n’Dip hoodie and Nikes (yet I really love both). This is for the smart-casual look, evenings and nights, datings and parties.

If you ever tested Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, you’d probably say “Hey, it’s another clone of the legendary fragrance!”. Ok, you got me. Yes, Franck Boclet created his “Tobacco” as a very, very close competitor to the luxe and pricey Tobacco Vanille. Someone said it’s a clone, but as for me, this is homage as is.

NB: perfumes and aromatic composition information

You already seen a lot of perfumes and may ask: WTF? Are you recommend the perfume/cologne with vanilla, apple or roses for older man? Are you insane? If you ask so, let me calm you dawn: yes, this composition will perfectly fit for older man. Remember: perfumers uses DIFFERENT scents of the same product. For instance, vanilla may be gentle and soft, but also may be spicy and dryly in the men fragrances. And don’t think that if perfume has vanilla notes, 40 years old man will smell like 13 years old schoolgirl (if a cologne has rose or jasmine notes, you wouldn’t smell like 70 years old grandma as well).

Conclusion

We already get through the list of the best “old men colognes”, so to say. Of course, this isn’t a full list – I can name you more than 30 additional colognes for different price range, that would be perfect for older man.
