The Best Colognes (And Perfumes) to Attract Females

Hey all! If you’re already read my previous articles, you’re probably know that I don’t like to categorize the perfumes and colognes by people. I don’t think that such a things like the “best perfume for older women”, or the “best colognes to attract females” are really exists. It’s like to say “the best Air Nike for blonde girl” or “the best watches for men doesn’t like nachos”. No sense, right?

But people are people, and there’s nothing bad! So if you’re looking for the best colognes to attract females, I’ve made a list for you. How did I create this list? How did I knew, which are the best for women?

It’s simple: I’ve got through the various reviews and asked female co-workers to test about 30 perfumes and colognes from my personal collection.

TL/DR: the best perfumes and colognes to attract females are:

  1. Lalique Encre Noire;
  2. Gentle Fluidity Silver by Maison Francis Kurkdjian;
  3. Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford;
  4. Creed Aventus;
  5. Dior Homme by Dior;
  6. Valentino Uomo;
  7. Aqva Pour Homme by Bvlgari;
  8. Egoiste Platinum by Chanel;
  9. Declaration Cartier;
  10. Tom Ford Noir.

Lalique Encre Noire

best colognes to attract females

One of the iconic vetiver colognes, and one of the best colognes to attract ladies (as said ladies). If you’re looking for the unusual, cold by it’s nature, discreet, and strict cologne that would impress everyone, then you should try Encre Noire. Some people calling this perfume as “Ink in the rain forest”, some people calling it the most gothic perfume of all times. Nevertheless, this is one of the most complimentary perfumes.

  1. Sillage: strong;
  2. Longevity: strong;
  3. The main accords: woody, aromatic, musky;
  4. What does it smells like: ink, wet barks of trees in a rainy forest, smokey vetiver.

Gentle Fluidity Silver by Maison Francis Kurkjian

Aromatic, fresh spicy and woody perfume. Can’t name it VERY masculine, but this fact doesn’t make it less complementary (however, many women said it’s a VERY masculine cologne). If you’re looking for the most beautiful ambroxan you’ve ever smelled, forget about Bleu di Chanel or Dior Sauvage. Classy, fresh and perfect for a daily wear. Fantastic composition from MFK, well-blended and very smooth.

  1. Sillage: strong to very strong;
  2. Longevity: strong;
  3. The main accords: aromatic, fresh spicy, woody and musky;
  4. What does it smells like: fresh juniper, metallic and fresh vibes.

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford

Do I have to say something about this perfume? It’s hard to find people who doesn’t heard about it. Fantastic, iconic and beautiful perfume that got everybody around raves about it (in a good sense). This is how rich men smells like. This is how the masterpiece of the perfumery world looks like. But also you should know, that there’s nothing about crowd-pleasing and remotely versatile. I’d rather to say Tobacco Vanille is bold.

If you want to try something that is very close to Tobacco Vanille, but with a lower price, I recommend you to try these alternatives: Frank Boclet Tobacco and Parfums de Marly Herod.

  1. Sillage: very strong;
  2. Longevity: very strong;
  3. The main accords: tobacco and vanille;
  4. What does it smells like: cherry tobacco and vanille.

Creed Aventus

Our list of the best perfumes to attract females is continuing, and now… This is one-shot favorite of many people regardless their sex and age. You may heard about it many times and see in dozens of “best colognes for…” lists. So I can’t get past as well. What can I say that you don’t read about? First of all, it’s a pineapple bomb. Fairly nice, masculine, straightforward and crowd-pleasant. What’s bad for it: ubiquity. I bet you smell this perfume somewhere in office, gym, bar, metro… At least 2-3 guys around reeking of Aventus. But what’s good – this may tell you about high popularity.

  1. Sillage: strong;
  2. Longevity: strong;
  3. The main accords: fruity, sweet, leather, wood, smoky, tropical;
  4. What does it smells like: pineapple bomb from the start, wood smoky bark in the forest.

Dior Homme by Dior

Beautiful cologne and must-have for winter, fall and spring. Very elegant, stylish, and amazingly addictive. Perfectly fits for a formal style, suit and tie setting. One of the best colognes to attract females of all time. What’s interesting, you don’t find any perfume clones, and Dior Homme isn’t overhyped at all. Here are some reviews:  “It smells like a very rich man that does not tolerate any childish nonsense“. “It smells like a pure sophistication. This is a fragrance to go when you want to smell expensive“. “This is my favorite perfume from the entire collection.” (man with 45+ perfumes in collection).

  1. Sillage: moderate (up to 3 ft);
  2. Longevity: long lasting, strong;
  3. The main accords: powdery iris, cacao, woody, warm spicy;
  4. What does it smells like: powdery iris flowers with a touch of leather and cacao, and freshness of patchouli and bergamot.

Valentino Uomo

Valentino Uomo by Valentino has been created by the same perfumer (Olivier Polge) who has create such iconic perfumes like Bleu de Chanel, Gabrielle Chanel, Dior Pure Poison, Dior Homme, Dolce & Gabbana The One for Men, Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo, Paco Rabanne Invictus, Victor&Rolf Flowerbomb (for women) and Spicebomb (for men), and many, many other divine fragrances. So there’s nothing strange that Valentino Uomo became bestseller and one of the all-time-favorites among men and women.

Woody, nutty, warm spicy, chocolate, coffee and leathery accords creating seductive, sophisticated and delicious masterpiece. Smells closely to the Dior Homme cologne, but without the iris note. Not so formal and “tie-only” option like Dior. Perfect option for winter and fall.

  1. Sillage: moderate;
  2. Longevity: moderate to long lasting;
  3. The main accords: woody, nutty, coffee and chocolate;
  4. What does it smells like: sweet coffee with chocolate (but not too sugary), powdery hazelnut mixed with bergamot.

Aqva Pour Homme by Bvlgari

If you’re really don’t know what to wear on summer, or don’t really care about it, but still want to find the best colognes to attract females, then Aqva Pour Homme is your way to go. This perfume wouldn’t be your signature cologne, but this is a decent option for hot weather. Also, I can name it as one of the best marine and aquatic fragrances that will bring you realistic ocean vibes. What’s more interesting, is that this perfume is long-lasting! It’s unusual, but pretty good for the summer fragrances – most of them are lasting on your skin/clothing for 2 hours, but again – this is not about Aqva Pour Homme.

  1. Sillage: moderate;
  2. Longevity: long-lasting;
  3. The main accords: citrus, marine, aromatic and acquatic;
  4. What does it smells like: perfectly balanced mix of marine botanicals and saltwater, warm and wet, salty breeze.

Egosite Platinum by Chanel

You may seen above interesting information about Olivier Polge. He is a perfumer, who has created two perfumes from this list of the best colognes to attract females. And here we see his father, who is a legendary perfumer served as Chanel’s perfumes for 37 years. And his name is Jacques Polge, who has created another masterpiece called Chanel Egoiste Platinum (1993), flanker of the Chanel Egoiste (1990).

I don’t even know what can I say about this perfume that you still don’t know.  Well, it’s a potential signature scent for an older gentleman (35-55) in spring/summer season, daytime, office. It smells a bit more mature than previous perfumes in this list, but yet it doesn’t smell like old man nor does it smell dated, though it has been around since the 90’s.

Really high quality fragrance – highly wearable, fresh, with the right blend of citrus and herbs. The most smelling notes are lavender, geranium, rosemary, clary sage, oakmoss and galbanum.

  1. Sillage: moderate to strong;
  2. Longevity: long lasting;
  3. The main accords: fresh spicy, lavender, woody, aromatic, green;
  4. What does it smells like: effortlessly and timelessly masculine cologne, luxury to the root. Some people said it smells like luxurious shaving cream, some said it smells like a rich, green herb garden.

Declaration Cartier

Another one “hi” from the 90’s. This perfume has been created in 1998, but still popular nowadays. Brilliant, sophisticated, very unique, long lasting, somewhere in between unisex and definitively masculine spicy, floral and slightly citric signature scent for a 30+ man. Trust me, you’re don’t find other fragrances which are similar to this one. And that’s perfect – you won’t smell like other males in the crowd, office or gym.

  1. Sillage: moderate to strong;
  2. Longevity: moderate to long lasting;
  3. The main accords: citrus, fresh spicy, warm spicy, woody, leathery.
  4. What does it smells like: it’s hard to say, but the most smelling notes for users are cardamom, bitter orange, caraway, birch, pepper, tahitian vetiver.

Tom Ford Noir

This is one of my favorite men perfumes for late October and November. This is one of the best colognes to attract females around – very complimentary, sophisticated, even dark and deep scent. Speaking about this perfume, I love one of the comments at the fragrance forums:

If you are looking for a crowd pleasing club monster to get the attention of young girls with then please move along, nothing for you to see here. This is a brooding, dark scent that took me a couple of uses to understand. Mainly patchouli and cold flowers with some amber and vanilla joining in after a couple of hours, very well balanced between the cold and the warm notes.

This is for the mature man, you know, the one that puts away childish things. Yes, this is not a typical crowd-pleasant like Aventus or Fahrenheit. But if you want to impress women with your fragrance choice, and do this in a matured way, then Noir by Tom Ford is your perfume.

  1. Sillage: moderate to strong;
  2. Longevity: long lasting;
  3. The main accords: amber, powdery, patchouli, fresh spicy, woody;
  4. What does it smells like: it’s all about dark patchouli, covered by powdery roses.

Conclusion

After all, my list of the best colognes to attract females isn’t limited by the mentioned perfumes only. All of these fragrances have alternatives and variations. Remember: every woman unique, and what’s like one woman, may not impress other one.

You may ask – what’s your favorite perfumes and colognes? If you want to know my opinion, then my favorite 12 male perfumes are: Back to Black by Killian, Black Phantom by Killian, Xerjoff Naxos, Nassomato Fantomas, Nassomato Baraonda, Amouage Enclave and Meander (from the Renaissance collection), La Couche du Diable by Serge Lutens, Tom Ford Noir, Lalique Encre Noire, Vierges et Toreros by Etat Libre d’Orange, Bois 1920 Vento Nel Vento Limited Art Collection.
