Yes, this is a huge list and you have A LOT of options to buy. But, before we go through, I must note a few important things:
- You don’t have to choose between the fragrances mentioned above. Remember: every girl has a personal taste and preferences. That’s why you should ask her first – what notes she loves most of all?
- Teens perfume don’t have to be… typically girly. This is a stereotype. Teenage girl don’t have to smells like sugar factory, whipped cream and praline ONLY. She may like other notes, and that’s up to her.
- Some of the perfumes mentioned above I don’t like at all. Like, literally at all – I think they’re boring, flat, annoying, and perfumers doesn’t spare a lot of time to create something perfect. So that’s why I will tell you my personal opinion without any biases.
Gucci Mémoire d’une Odeur
Perfect perfume for teenage girls. Herbal, woody, powdery, aromatic and floral notes creating the outstanding composition for any occasion and age. The most smelling notes are chamomile, musk and indian jasmine.
Longevity and sillage are average. As said many reviews, this perfume is about purity – there’s nothing sedductive or provocative at all (even a bit of melancholic, to be honest). Perfectly fits for summer and spring.
Alien Flora Futura by Thierry Mugler
This is another Alien flanker (so today there are 30 Aliens in the Mugler fragrances!). White floral, woody and citrus notes in the unusual bottle is a perfect decision for hot spring or summer days. The most noticeable notes are night blooming cereus (yes, this brand has a HUGE love to the unusual ingredients), citron, white amber and buddha wood.
This scent is sweet, but not too sugary. But, in the same time, Alien Flora Futura has a controversial nature. Some of people said it smells like retro-perfume. Some of people fell in love with the first test. So the final verdict is: test before buying.
This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire
One of mine very best findings of 2021. I can said even more – this is one of the most beautiful perfumes I’ve ever tested. Perfectly fits for any woman, regardless her age. I easily imagine this perfume on 15 y.o. girl, on 25, and even on 35 y.o. woman. Literally one of the coziest, warmest and calmest perfumes I’ve tested before. If you ask me, how does the term “family and home” smells like, I said you – This is Her by Zadick and Voltaire.
The main accords of this beautiful perfume are vanilla, sweet, woody, lactonic, powdery, and a little bit spicy. But as for me, the most noticeable accords are lactonic and powdery, and the most noticeable notes are whipped cream, vanilla, chestnut, and sandalwood. Speaking about the cons, I don’t really like an average longevity and sillage, but this would be perfect for the teenage girl.
Narciso Rodriguez L’Eau For Her by Narciso Rodriguez
The main accords of this perfume is white floral, fresh, green and powdery. Perfectly fits for hot weather. The most noticeable notes are lilly-of-the-valley, musk, peony, rose and jasmine. Thanks to the lilly-of-the-valley, this L’Eau smelling very, very freshy and faintly. Most of the buyers reports that this is almost mono-scent of the lilly-of-the-valley and peony.
Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo
This is something that will looks good for 17-19 y.o. girl, but I can’t imagine it on younger teenagers. The main accords are sweet, patchouli, fruity, woody, caramel and warm spicy. The most noticeable notes are caramel, patchouli, pear, and orchid. But… This tells a bit, isn’t it?
Trust me: this is outstanding perfume for teenage girl, but don’t try to imagine it on someone who don’t in the high school. Also, this perfume is not for the wearing in the school or even in the university/college. It would be perfect to use it for the party or dating, or evening promenade with the friends. As for me, sillage and longevity of Jimmy Choo is very impressive, and lasts for hours after applying.
Daisy Marc Jacobs
This is something recommended by your coworker. Something recommended by the various websites when it comes to the best perfumes for girls. Something toooo boring and awkward. Ozonic, white floral, powdery and aquatic accords makes it very popular among different people. But… you can’t ever name it as your signature perfume. There’s literally nothing noticeable in this perfume, but if you’re looking for something that smells like freshy cutted grass or cucumber (nothing in a good way), then Daisy by Marc Jacobs is your way to go.
Despite my hater’s opinion, this perfume is one of the most popular and best-selling on the market. It’s perfect for daytime, perfect for hot weather. What’s good, than this perfume fits for all ages, so you can always give it to someone from your inner circle 🙂
Cloud by Ariana Grande
In the beginning of this article I’ve made a disclaimer where I said that teenager girl doesn’t smell like sugar factory. Remember? Now, forget it. Speaking about the Cloud by Ariana Grande, you may be sure that this perfume is a typically “girly” scent. I can’t say whether it’s good or bad – it’s just a fact.
What’s good about this perfume is a lactonic accords, with vanilla and coconut notes. What’s bad – it’s a strong whipped cream and praline notes, which is also the most smelling in this perfume. As stated in the ingredients, there are also lavender, musk and woody notes, but you can barely find it, though.
Moschino Funny! By Moschino
An airy and fresh fragrance for hot summer, launched in 2007. Still, Moschino Funny! is one of the all-time-favorites on the market. Why? I suppose it’s all about low price and generic notes/accords that fits for the majority of people. The best smelling notes are bitter orange, green tea and red currant, longevity and sillage are intimate and moderate. Perfect fragrance for the blind buy if you don’t a perfumer critic and want to wear it everywhere.
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell
Fruity, floral, fresh and tropical – all of these accords creating the perfect composition for summer holidays somewhere by the sea or ocean. The most noticeable notes are passionfruit, grapefruit, peony, pineapple, and tangerine. What’s weird, I really like this perfume – all of the notes are brilliantly fits each other, and they’re creating really sunny and sparkling mood. Perfectly fits for girls 16 y.o. and older, hardly to imagine on younger girls.
Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
This perfume was created in 2001 by Jacques Polge – Chanel perfumer since 1978. As you may see, this perfumer create almost all legendary Chanel perfumes, and Coco Mademoiselle is not the exception. I must confess that I don’t like this perfume, but I must make a courtesy to the one of my favorite perfumers and fragrance that became bestseller since it was created.
In a few words: perfectly fits for young ladies, can be used on any season, both for daytime and nighttime. The most noticeable notes are patchouli, rose, litchi, bergamot and orange. Perfect longevity and sillage – still, this perfume for teenage girls is fresh, light, elegant and luxurious.
Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori
Splendid garden – super fresh, almost clean, and all about white flowers, green, aromatic, aquatic, and fruity accords. Outstanding perfume for spring and summer. All I can said about the Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori – it’s vivacious, youthful, fresh and slightly warm. Very pleasant perfume for the 16-19 y.o. girls.
Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia by Guerlain
What’s interesting, Guerlain company positioning this perfume as unisex. But as for me, this is very feminine scent, and I can’t imagine it on the males. The main accords are floral, ozonic, acquatic, fruity, fresh and musky. The most noticeable notes are cherry blossom, watermelon, musk and pear.
This is a pretty summery fragrance – very flowery, but not “freshly” flowery. So if you really don’t like musky flowers, try it and don’t make a blind buy.
“Replica” Springtime In A Park Eau de Toilette by Maison Margiela
Yes, as you see, this scent is how is a springtime in a park smell like. White floral, fresh, green, acquatic and fruity perfume creating unforgetable impression straight from the first test. Beautiful pefume for teenage girls, which has only 3 notes – pear, musk and lilly-of-the-valley. Moderate longevity and sillage, but do you really need the stronger one?
As for me, this is a decent fragrance, but… I find it quite generic for the price. Nothing too much, and some users said that this is a real headache in a bottle, so… Try it on your skin (not on the blotter) before buying.
Chloé Eau de Parfum
Floral, rose, and fresh – perfect bouquet for the windy spring, summer or early fall. One of the iconic scents since 2008. The most noticeable notes are roses, peony, litchi, and freesia. Good choice for the 17-19 y.o. girls.
